"Why are your parents coming this weekend?! The wedding is next weekend!" Junhyung whined as he sat down in front of the door.
"Well, they have never been to Korea so they wanna come a week early to tour around." Minyoung explained while changing the bed sheets in the guest room.
"And why are they staying in your house when it's your sister getting married?" He complained again.
Minyoung glared at him in irritation. "Because Eunha doesn't have a guest room in her studio apartment! Quit complaining before I ignore you."
He pouted than did the zip sign on his lips, and gave Minyoung a weak smile.
Minyoung kneeled down beside him. "Make yourself useful and go order pizza for lunch, please?"
Minyoung placed both her hands on his cheeks before giving him a kiss.
"PIZZA?! OKAY! Yay! Be right back!" He yelled after the kiss.
Minyoung stood up and shook her head at how childish her boyfriend was, even though he's 2 years older than her. Her phone vibrated in her jeans pocket, giving her a shock.
"Hello?"
"Free today? I'm gonna go collect my wedding dress today, and I wanna choose your bridesmaid dress, no more dragging!" Eunha nagged.
"Fine fine, I'm free after I finish cleaning up the guest room for mom and dad. Than all I need is lunch and shower. So about 2 hours?" Minyoung blew her fringe out of her eyes.
"Hmm okay, we'll come pick you and Junnie up around 3?"
"Neh, see you later."
"Doojoon called." Junhyung said as he came back inside the room.
"Yup, Eunha called me as well, Guess I can't drag the choosing of dress any longer." Minyoung sighed.
"Why are you so against dresses anyways?" Junhyung asked.
"You know me, I'm more comfortable in shorts or jeans anyways."
"But you have to wear a dress on our wedding!" Junhyung demanded.
"And what if I don't?" Minyoung hugged Junhyung and teased.
"I will... uh... force you into a dress." He stuttered.
"That is not convincing at all baby." Minyoung laughed as she pecked him on the cheeks and walked back into the room.
"Hey, that was very convincing!" Junhyung protested as he followed her back into her room.
He flopped down on her bed, watching at her rummaging through her closet.
"What are you doing?"
"Taking my clothes? Can't you see?" Minyoung answered.
"For what though?"
"Bathe." She answered and walked to the bathroom, Junhyung followed her in.
She turned and pushed him out. "Alone."
"Why?!" He protested.
"Someone needs to pay for the pizza." She smirked and closed the door in his face.
---
"That dress is nice!" Eunha pointed to the white strapless dress.
"That is too revealing, I won't feel comfortable." Minyoung complained.
"Hey, look, Junnie isn't even complaining that it's too revealing, why are you?" The older girl reasoned.
"Why would he complain?! He's a pervert and he's not the one wearing this dress!" Minyoung turned to Junhyung who was smirking.
"Just choose one, so we can go for dinner, me and Doojoon are starving!" Junhyung nudged Minyoung.
"Tsk! Fine!" She pouted and grabbed the strapless dress off the rack and stomped off to the fitting room.
“Your turn.” Eunha turned to Junhyung.
He put his hands up as though warding Eunha off. “I already chose mine, so I’ll go try it now!” He stuck out his tongue and ran off.
“It looks good on you, Junnie!” Eunha and Doojoon gave a thumbs up to Junhyung, who was checking himself out in front of the mirror.
“I look good~” Junhyung praised himself and went to stand outside Minyoung’s fitting room.
“She will look fab.” Doojoon commented and Eunha nodded.
“I know she will.” Junhyung smiled and nodded as well.
“Than why are you so nervous?” Doojoon asked.
“It feels like my own wedding..” He answered with a weak smile.
“Propose to her soon. While my parents are here!” Eunha suggested.
“She’s a stubborn girl...”
“She’s my sister, and I know she loves you enough to agree after a little persuasion.” Eunha said.
“But-“ Junhyung was cut off with the sound of the curtain of the fitting room. He turned.
“Oh my holy...” Junhyung’s jaw dropped.
“Close your mouth, lover boy.” Doojoon laughed.
“See! You look gorgeous!” Eunha rushed forward to her little sister, who was trying to cover as much of her milky skin as possible with her hands.
“Yah! Yong Junhyung! What are you staring at?!” Minyoung pouted as her sister pulled both of her hands off her own body.
“I strongly believe he is having dirty thoughts about you right now.” Doojoon commented.
“No! I’m not!” Junhyung defended himself.
“One dirty thought about my sister, I will strangle you.” Eunha threatened.
“No no! I was just thinking how gorgeous she will be during our wedding.” Junhyung smiled.
“Our wedding?” Minyoung raised her eyebrows.
“Yes.” He smiled.
“My sister is so gorgeous!” Eunha hugged Minyoung before she could say anything.
“No I’m not, that scar on my back...” Minyoung reached for her back.
“Your hair is long enough to cover it. Don’t bother about it. You’re perfect.” Junhyung held on to both of her hands and kissed her foreheads while Doojoon and Eunha nodded in approval.
“Can we request for a photo to be taken? You two look perfect together.” The owner of the shop asked.
“W-what?!” Minyoung widen her eyes.
“Sure.” Junhyung smiled.
“Come this way please. I’m Yang Hye Rin, you can call me Rin.” The owner introduced herself as she showed them the way to get their makeup done.
“Why did you agree?” Minyoung whispered harshly.
“Relax, just take this as practice for the real thing alrights?” Junhyung laughed.
“What real thing?!”
“We will only need a few photos, it will be perfect to have one hanging at the entrance of the shop!” Hye Rin chirped.
“Okays.” Minyoung smiled back.
“Could you kiss her on the forehead like how you did outside the fitting room?” Hye Rin instructed Junhyung.
“1, 2, 3” The photographer snapped the picture.
“Perfect! Now, hmmm, how about both of your foreheads pressed together and you two look into each other’s eyes?” Hye rin suggested and both of them did as they were told.
As the photographer snapped away, Hye Rin turned to Eunha. “They have so much love for each other. Their eyes, they way they look at each other, so much love.”
“Yeah, he’s the only one that made her open up. And he loves her for all her flaws.” Eunha smiled.
“She’s very lucky, you too!” Hye Rin laughed.
“I guess we are.. thanks.”
“That photoshoot went smoother than ours!” Doojoon cheered.
“How is that even possible?” Minyoung rolled her eyes.
“Why is that not possible?” Eunha scrutinized Minyoung closely.
“I look horrible in pictures!” Minyoung shook her head.
“Nonsense! You were so perfect, even Hye Rin said so. She said you two had so much love for each other. I’m jealous.” Eunha reassured before shooting a glance at Doojoon’s shocked expression. “I’m just kidding baby.” Eunha smiled at Doojoon.
“Of cause you were.” Doojoon pouted while Junhyung roared with laughter.
“Whatever~ let’s go through the plan again. You and Junnie pick mom and dad up tomorrow, let them freshen up, and then we meet for dinner? Is that right?” Eunha asked Minyoung.
“Yeah. Dinner where?” Minyoung asked.
“I don’t know. We’ll decide that tomorrow. You need to borrow the car?”
“Nope, I’ll be driving tomorrow.” Junhyung said.
Eunha nodded. “If that’s all, we’re gonna head back, I still have loads to prepare.”
“Byeeeeee~” Minyoung waved cheerfully.
“You imp, being so happy when I’m leaving.” Eunha smack her sister’s head.
“Ouhh! “ Minyoung pouted as Junhyung hugged her.
Minyoung turned to her boyfriend as her older sister left.
“You staying over tonight?” She asked.
“I can’t sleep in the guest room anymore, can I?” Junhyung answered as his stirred his coffee.
“You can sleep with me tonight.” She said.
“Are you sure?!” He jerked up and stared at her.
“Yes. I’m sure. I hope my parents approve of you though.” She hasten to change the subject.
“They will love me, just like how their youngest daughter did.” Junhyung hugged her and laughed.
“Yeah! They will love you!” Minyoung laughed.
“Let’s go. I need to go home and get my stuff.” He stood up and reaches out his hand for her to take.
She smiled to herself as she took his hand.
“What actually happened to Minyoung?” Doojoon asked Eunha as they drove home.
“Well, before we came to Korea, and when she will still in high school, she had a boyfriend. Apparently she loved him a lot, so she was very blinded and oblivious to the fact that he was using her. For what? I don’t know either. But me and her best friend tried to talk to her about it, but she won’t listen to us.” Eunha explained.
“So that’s why you’re so protective of her?” Doojoon asked.
Eunha nodded. “Yes, so it hurt me a lot when I found bruises on her.”
“BRUISES?! HOLY CRAP! HE ABUSED HER?!” Doojoon shouted.
“Yeah, I think he’s some sick psycho. Her hands and neck were full of bruises. She refused to tell me who did it, till I found a bite mark on her shoulder that was bleeding. That day, I forced her to tell me who did it.” Eunha sighed.
“That scar on her back that she cares so much about ... is that bite mark?” Doojoon gulped
“Yup. I hate seeing my younger sister hurt, so I told Alexander, you know my older brother? He reported that to the police. He threatened her before he got arrested and such, and she never got over him, so my parent decided to send us here to study. Than we met the both of you.”
“I’m glad we met the both of you.” Doojoon smiled as he squeezed her hand.
“I’m glad Junhyung met her. I’m glad I met you too!” Eunha smiled.
Junhyung walked into this girlfriend’s room after his bath that night to see her sleeping on his side of the bed.
He smiled to himself before he walked over to the bed and carried her to her side gently.
“No!” Minyoung sat up suddenly, shocking Junhyung.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Junhyung stroked her fringe aside.
She just shook her head as tears started streaming down her cheeks.
Junhyung wiped the tears from her face. “What’s wrong?”
“I dreamt of him again.” She buried her face in his neck.
“Baby, it’s over, he isn’t here to hurt you anymore.” He smoothed her bed-hair.
“I know, but that dream was so realistic.”
“Nothing can hurt you as long as you’re mine.” Junhyung reassured.
“Don’t ever leave me.” She cried even harder.
“Hey! Whoever said I was intending to?” Junhyung lifted her chin.
“I’m never gonna leave you. Never. Even if you push me away, I’ll still come back to you. Okay? I love you.” Junhyung said softly and kissed her.
The next morning when Junhyung woke up, Minyoung wasn’t in bed anymore. Panic struck him but he relaxed as he smelled bacon.
“Morning baby.” He smiled as he walked into the kitchen and hugged her from the back.
“Morning.” She turned to give him a peck on his cheek. “Go wash up, breakfast will be ready soon!”
“You’re actually cooking. I’m surprised.” Junhyung raised one eyebrow.
“Hey! It’s only for you, and my parents when they are here okay!” Minyoung pouted.
Junhyung nodded. “For that, I’m very touched.”
“Now, go wash up!” Minyoung pushed Junhyung out.
As Junhyung walked out, she sighed. She told herself she will not let the dream affect her. It was all over. As she thought about it, she subconsciously reached to touch her scar.
[FLASHBACK]
“What are you doing?” Rachel asked her boyfriend, Dec, as he nibbled on her neck.
“Nothing.” Came the reply.
“Come on, don’t play, you little vampire.”
“Vampire?” Dec asked before biting her on her shoulders.
Rachel screamed in pain and hit Dec hard on the chest, but he did not budge.
“It hurts!” Rachel cried.
“You called me a vampire, I’m just proving it to you.” Dec smiled.
“You didn’t have to bite that hard! It hurts.”
“I had to get my point across.” Dec turned away.
“Forget it, I’m going home.” Rachel said as she picked up her bag from his bed.
She slung it across her shoulders and winced in pain.
“I’m home!” Rachel yelled as she walked through the front door.
“Were you at Dec’s hou- OH MY GOD! WHY ARE YOU BLEEDING?!” Emi yelled.
“It’s nothing, I scratched myself against the hooks in the school’s locker room.” Rachel brushed her older sister’s hand aside.
“It doesn’t look like a scratch! Did he bite you?”
“You’re crazy.” Rachel pulled a face.
“You’re coming with me!” Emi dragged Rachel to their brother’s room.
“And you’re not leaving this room till you tell me who did it!” Emi locked the door.
“What? I told you, a scratch!”
“A scratch? I’m pretty sure hooks do not have teeth.”
“Well then, I got bloodthirsty.” Rachel rolled her eyes.
“Rachel Gilbert, do not lie to me.” Emi threatened.
“Really, I bit myself.”
“Oh really? Your mouth must be extendable than. Show me.”
“You’re crazy.”
“Stop calling me crazy when you’re the crazy one right now! You’re dating a cannibal!” Emi yelled.
“He isn’t a cannibal!” Rachel yelled back.
“Oh really? That what’s the reason for him biting you?” Emi folded her arms.
“Who ever told you he was the one that bite me?”
“It is pretty obvious isn’t it?”
“I don’t have time to deal with this shit. I have to do my homework” Rachel tried to shove Emi aside.
“Fine, where were you this whole afternoon?”
“At Adeline’s house. Doing my work.” Rachel answered.
“Oh really? But Adeline is in your room right now, waiting for you.” Emi raised her eyebrows.
“FINE, I WAS AT DEC’S HOUSE. YOU HAPPY NOW?!” Rachel shouted.
“No, I’m not. He bit you till you bleed. That isn’t normal! I’m telling Alexander!” Emi shook her head as she opened the door.

“Your bacon is burning, honey.” Junhyung’s voice jerked Minyoung out of her flashback.
“OHSHI-“ Minyoung began to curse.
“No cursing please.” Junhyung said simply and sat down. “What were you thinking of?”
“Nah, I was thinking of my parents. I haven’t seen them for years.” Minyoung smiled.
“Ohyeah, what time is their flight again.” Junhyung asked.
“They are arriving at 2pm. Why?”
“Nothing, I need to go run an errand, then I’ll come back and pick you to go to the airport alrights?”
“Want me to come along with you?” Minyoung asked as she put the bacon on his plate.
“It’s okay. I’ll give you some alone time!” Junhyung laughed.
“Yong Junhyung, what are you up to?” Minyoung demanded.
“I told you, I have errands to run. Oh! Look at the time! I’ll go now!” Junhyung finished his bacon, gave Minyoung a kiss and ran out of the house.
“Aish! This man!”
“Where ar- Oh! Mummy!” Minyoung ran towards an attractive blond with a stern looking man beside.
“Hey baby.” Minyoung’s mother kissed her hair.
“Mummy, daddy, this is my boyfriend, Junhyung.” She introduced in English. Junhyung looked confused.
“I just introduced you to my parents. In English.” Minyoung explained.
“Rachel dear, me and your mom can speak Korean.” Minyoung’s dad smiled.
“EH?!” Her eyes widened.
“We took lessons.” Her mom said.
“Where’s Emi? She’s supposed to be here hugging us as well!” Her dad joked.
“Oh, she’s busy, we are meeting her later for dinner.” Minyoung clapped.
“Neh, we’ll go back to Minyoung’s house to freshen up first.” Junhyung said respectfully.
“Yes! Let’s go!” Minyoung grabbed her mother’s hand and walked ahead.
“So you’re the guy I keep hearing about?” Minyoung’s father asked.
“I guess so...” Junhyung smiled as he took their luggage.
“Thanks for making my baby smile again.” He patted Junhyung on the back.
“Yeah... about that... I was planning to propose to her this week. Or after Eunha’s wedding.” Junhyung said nervously.
“Good! Very good! Go ahead! I approve!” Minyoung’s father laughed.
The whole of next week passed in a blur. Minyoung and Junhyung were out the whole week bringing Minyoung’s parents around. Eunha and Doojoon were busy preparing for their wedding.
On Thursday night, after Minyoung’s parents went to bed, Junhyung flopped down on his girlfriend’s bed.
“Damn. I’m dead tired.” He complained.
“I know right?!” She lay down beside him.
He turned to hug her. “2 more days to the wedding. It’s gonna get even more tiring.”
“Don’t even remind me. I have to be at Eunha’s house tomorrow night and you have to be at Doo’s place.” Minyoung groaned.
“Yupp. Let’s go take a stroll at the park now, alrights?” Junhyung asked.
“Now?! It’s 11.30pm!”
“I know.” Junhyung smiled and pulled her up.
“You know how cold it is?” Minyoung grumbled.
“Mianhae.” Junhyung apologised and took off his colourful hoodie and put it on her shoulder.
“There better be a good reason why you drag me out so late.” She pouted.
“Oh there is, trust me.” Junhyung smiled and kissed her hair.
“This place is so dark and creepy at night.”
“Nothing to worry when your boyfriend is here!”
Minyoung rolled her eyes and laughed.
“Let’s sit here.” Junhyung led her to a bench.
As soon as she sat down, someone blindfolded her.
“Hey! What are you up to! Yah! Yong Junhyung!” Minyoung screamed.
“Chill siz.” She heard Eunha whispered.
“Emi? EMI GILBERT!” Minyoung screamed her English name.
“Aish this girl, stop screaming!” Another voice. Doojoon’s.
“What are you doing?” She fumbled with the blindfold.
“It’s a surprise. You can take it off after Junnie says so.” Eunha slapped her hands away.
“I’m sorry baby, for scaring you like that, but bear with me kays?” She heard Junhyung say.
“Okay, you can remove your blindfold now.” Junhyung said and Minyoung slowly took it off.
She gasped. Junhyung kneeling in front of her, with a bouquet of purple roses in one hand and sparklers on the other.
“W-what?” She gasped again as Junhyung gave her the bouquet. As he shifted his position, she realised that behind him was a heart made out of many candles.
“Did you do that?” Minyoung asked.
“Yes, only for you. Now check the pocket of my hoodie.”
She reached into the pocket and pulled out a ring. A diamond ring to be exact.
“A DIAMOND RING?!”
“Will you marry me?” Junhyung tilted her chin up and he looked into her eyes.
“Junnie....
“I know what you’re gonna say, and I’m telling you, I love you for your flaws, I love you at your worst, I love you for who you are. You may think you’re not good enough, for to me, you’re fucking prefect. Each and every scar on you shows me that you’re a strong woman. Each and every tear you shed shows me your sensitive side. Each and every hug you give me tells me you love me. And I’m not gonna let all that go.” Junhyung hugged her.
“I...”
“Even if you say no today, I’ll wait. And I will keep trying. Just know that I’ll never let you go.”
“I’ll give you an answer after Eunha’s wedding. Okay?”
“Of cause it’s okay.” Junhyung smiled.
“I love you.” Minyoung mumbled against his chest.
Junhyung grinned, knowing he has won half the battle.
“Let’s go back.” Junhyung pulled away and started putting out all the candles.
“Your hoodie.” Minyoung said as she started to take it off.
“No, you wear it alrights? I’m giving it to you.” Junhyung smiled.
“But this is your favourite!”
“This is why I’m giving it to you. What’s better than to give my favourite hoodie to my favourite girl?”
“Really? I’m gonna sleep in it!” Minyoung laughed.
“Go ahead.” Junhyung laughed and led them away from the park.
“So.. how was yesterday?” Eunha asked as soon as Minyoung reached her house.
“I told him I’ll give an answer after your wedding.”
“Why?!” Someone else asked.
Minyoung peered over her sister’s shoulder.
“Adeline!” She ran over to tackle the girl in a hug.
“Girl. Chill.”
“I so fucking miss you! Oh my god! You idiot! Do you know there’s this invention called a phone? Couldn’t you have called me?!” Minyoung yelled.
“Girl! I’ll be deaf soon! Sorry I’ve been busy lately okay?” Adeline hugged Minyoung.
“Damn you. And you couldn’t have told me you’re coming!” Minyoung looked at Adeline than at Eunha who shrugged.
“I didn’t know as well, she told me she might not be able to make it for the wedding. Imagine my shock when she called me this morning telling me to pick her up at the airport.” Eunha laughed.
“OHYEAH?? You didn’t tell me when I called you this afternoon!” Minyoung jumped at Eunha.
“It’s a surprise.”
“So... how is this Junhyung treating you?” Adeline asked.
“The same.”
“And by the same... you mean... good or bad?”
“Good. Too good actually. I’m not good enough for him.” Minyoung shrugged.
“What are you talking about?” Eunha whacked her head.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I wanna slap some sense into you.” Adeline groaned in frustration.
“I... ugh. He really loves you, do you know that?” Eunha said.
“I know.”
“He even talked to Mom and Dad.”
“WHAT?!” Minyoung jumped off the sofa.
“He told daddy he wanted to marry you. And daddy approved!” Eunha explained.
“And may I ask how did you know that?”
“Daddy told me? Duh.” Eunha smiled.
“Aish!”
“Go to bed early, it’s a long day tomorrow.” Eunha chased them to her room.
“Go get changed!” The girls’ mother nagged.
“Argh.” Minyoung dragged herself up from the floor.
“Mummy, why are you here?” Eunha bury herself under her blanket.
“Yo! The bride cannot be lazy!” Adeline pulled her blanket off.
“Exactly! Daddy, Doojoon and Junhyung is already at the church!” Minyoung popped her at the door with the toothbrush in her mouth.
“How do you know?” Eunha rubbed her eyes.
“Junhyung. Duh.”
After an hour of changing and makeup, Adeline and the sisters’ mother looked at the two girls.
“My babies are so gorgeous!” Their mother pinched Minyoung’s cheek.
“Mummy! Don’t pinch my cheeks!” Minyoung struggled and protested.
“They are on their way.” Junhyung informed the groom.
“How do you know?” Doojoon looked up.
“Minyoung. Duh.”
“Right...”
“You nervous?” Junhyung sat down beside Doojoon.
“Abit.” Doojoon admitted.
“Don’t be!” Junhyung smiled and patted Doojoon on the back.
“I’ll be saying this back to you when you get married.” Doojoon turned.
“Whatever.”
“Dude, congrats!” Doojoon’s best friends entered the room.
“Yo, Yoseob, Kikwang, Dongwoon, Hyunseung! Glad you guys could make it.” Doojoon stood up to hug them all.
The 5 of them turned to look at Junhyung, who was squatting down, talking on the phone and smiling.
“Minyoung.” The 5 said in unison.
Junhyung looked up and smiled sheepishly.
“See you soon. Love you.” He said and hang up.
“What?”
“Oh. Nothing...” Yoseob raised his eyebrows.
“Dude, propose to her yet?” If not, I’m gonna make my move!” Hyunseung joked.
“Hey! And yeah, I did. She told me she’ll give me an answer after this wedding.”
“Does that mean no chance?” Hyunseung pouted as Yoseob gave him a punch on the shoulder on his way out.
“Jang Hyun Seung!” Go find your own!” Junhyung yelled as the others laughed.
“They’re here! Doojoon, you’re not allowed to see the bride so stay here!” Yoseob came running.
“But-“
“No buts, shut up and stay here.” Dongwoon laughed and they ran off.
“Hey, you look gorgeous.” Junhyung hugged Minyoung.
“Thanks. This is Adeline, my best friend.” Minyoung introduced. Adeline waved to them.
“And this is Junhyung, Hyunseung, Yoseob, Kikwang and Dongwoon. You’ll be paired up with Hyunseung. Which means you’re standing behind me, and Hyunseung will be standing behind Junhyung. Minyoung said.
“Okays!” Minyoung and Hyunseung smiled.
----
Junhyung nudged Minyoung. “What?” She turned.
“It’s after the wedding.” He smiled.
“Oh..”
“Can all the single ladies gather here please, I’m gonna make Eunha throw the bouquet!” Adeline shouted.
“I’ll talk to you later.” Minyoung turned to walk away.
“You’re not single!” Junhyung yelled.
“I’m not married.” Minyoung smiled cheekily as she skipped to Adeline’s side.
“Aish that girl.” Junhyung gritted his teeth.
“What’s wrong with you?” Yoseob appeared.
“Nothing.” Junhyung answered.
“.... Oh!” Yoseob followed Junhyung’s gaze.
“Shut up.”
Eunha giggled as she turned her back on her friends.
“Ready girls?” She yelled.
“Get on with it.” Minyoung answered.
“Okay, here goes.” Eunha closed her eyes, and threw the bouquet of flowers back.
As planned by Adeline and Eunha earlier, the rest of the girls moved away, leaving Minyoung the only person standing there.
“Hey!” Minyoung looked confused for a moment, before the bouquet landed in her arms.
“Now will you marry me?” Junhyung walked up.
Minyoung glanced around and saw everyone looking at her. Her dad was nodding encouragingly.
She smiled. “Yes, I will.”
Junhyung whooped before lifting her off her feet in a hug.
